Going Digital with Bring It On North East
We are pleased to announce a brand new partnership with Bring It On North East where we’ve been contracted to support their new initiative to bring the event online.
Bring It On would usually welcome 80+ engineering businesses from the North East to showcase real-life engineering to more than 2000 children. The founders of the event weren’t prepared to let COVID-19 take away it’s yearly opportunity to inspire children into STEM careers and so they have taken to the online world to plough through and deliver the conference.
What’s the twist for 2020?
Instead of scrapping the event due to social-distancing measures, Bring It On are putting together a virtual series with the help of the organisations that usually showcase themselves at the event. These companies will star in weekly web-based interviews where parents, children and teachers can all send questions via social media for the representatives to answer. Each episode will cover how the speakers came to find themselves in their role; what kind of lifestyle you might expect to have if you pursue a STEM related career and other important discussion points all wrapped up in light-hearted content to keep the audience engaged.
We’re playing our part by promoting and providing coverage of the web series. The added bonus this year is that these videos will become resources for current and future generations of children trying to decide which path to take.
This exciting series will launch soon. You can learn more about Bring It On North East here.
